Hi. Yeah. Me again.

The CEO of the company that I work at acts like he's cool but he's been being an ass lately.

He was fine with me dating my manager but now he's making weird "jokes" suggesting that maybe we shouldn't work together since we're in a relationship.

Thing is I don't think these are actually jokes! I want to get rid of this guy by any means possible now. I heard in other companies about CEOs getting fired, but does that work in smaller companies? How does one go about doing this? Can I report him to his own HR?

Any advice is deeply appreciated. Thanks.

Is it a private or publicly held company? If it's private and the CEO is the owner then tough luck nobody can fire him. If it's public company then yeah the board of directors can appoint a new one.

If the CEO is the owner, forget it.
If the owner likes the CEO more that they like you (which is very likely), forget it.
If it's a publicly traded company, the board can fire the CEO, but they won't.

What you can do, is to file an OSHA report, or mention the word OSHA to the HR and she'll crap her pants.
Bear in mind that it carries a lot of weight and once you say it you can't take it back, so you might as well go with it.
Another thing is that it can blow up in your face, because your GF is likely to go, too.
^This is assuming you're in the US.

The easiest and fairest thing is to ask to move to another team, or find another job.
At the end of the day dating your manager is kinda screwed up and this is probably why you wanted to hide it in the first place.

If you want my thought, I think you're overreacting a little here. He might have actually just been joking.

You said he was cool in your other thread so what changed? Are you just getting paranoid? No offense meant I'm just saying it might be good to take a step back instead of trying to get someone fired because you're dating your manager.

You will not win against the CEO if he wants can get you fired since has much more power than you plus I suspect it is probably a company policy dating is not allowed in the organisation

Look at what happened to Andy Byron and Kristine Cabot, tell me if you can do better than this CEO, that was fired for doing what you did pretty much.
