I mean is this something to brag about or I don't think one needs to celebrate this but alas who am I to judge as long as one enjoys his job
I agree with this, although I don’t see the point in why the person would post this, thinking anyone would praise her for it.Seems like he is just proud of his wife, I bet he had nothing to do with the wife working from that bed directly .. If the wife wants to work for 20 minutes on a call it is really up to her. We are all different animals.

To me it reads a lot more pathetic than this.We have corporate leaders advocating the hustle culture and unreasonable working hours.
Or let's just say she loves her job tooo muchTo me it reads a lot more pathetic than this.
You spent years climbing the corporate ladder and it obviously worked well for you, and despite that you answered a client call a few hours after giving birth *by choice*.
It's just glorified slavery, a golden cage or whatever else you want to call it, except they forced their way there even though they didn't need to.
She chose to keep handling that case instead of moving it to someone else.

It's the enabling and his position as a spouse, and his corporate stature that's bothering people. And the tone deaf blind praise too.
The angst mostly (and quite rightfully) comes from the working class.
We have corporate leaders advocating the hustle culture and unreasonable working hours.
It's not going well for a lot of people. And then you have a CEO going... My wife took a client call hours after giving birth zomgwow!!
It sounds a lot like... She can do it, so you can too.
Nothing to add, you nailed it.I was only being polite because that's how I am. My real views on this glorification of hustle are far too worse. Despite being a business owner for over a decade and employing people. Despite having sat on the other side of the table.
First I hustled to break the generational wealth gap. Then I hustled to be able to pay salaries on time.
I broke my back for my own ambitions. Because I was the boss since I started my career.
I would NEVER let my employees or anyone who'd care to listen to me ever go through this.
I am here online on a work related community on a Sunday. But I am doing it off my own volition. I know people who are also online, but they're doing it for their employers and bosses. Managers who've convinced them to go above and beyond, because that's the only way to get anywhere in your career.
The enshitification of this culture is my personal pet peeve.
