I created a new Reddit account and a new subreddit using this new account about a month ago for my website. For the first week, I didn't post anything anywhere, just lurked around subreddits relevant to my niche and joined a few and upvoted some posts in the second week. Then I started posting in my own subreddit - my niche is an image dominated niche, and everything I posted in my subreddit were 100% original, branded images owned by me.

Everything was going normal, I made about 6-7 posts including two videos that were also shared to my YouTube and Instagram. Two weeks goes by and both the account and subreddit are banned.

I requested subreddit unban, they said I need to first have my account unlocked and they redirected me to the account suspension appeals page. I sent a request there too and since received no response, it's been more than a week.

Should I consider making a new account and a new subreddit? The thing is, the handle of the banned subreddit was ideal, it's really undesirable to crap it up like this.

Make a new account. You may get unbanned, but it’s not 100% certain. Also, create additional accounts and assign multiple moderators to your subreddit. I believe that if the account owner gets banned, the subreddit will automatically be assigned to one of the moderators, but I could be wrong about that.

I have had reddit perma bans overturned, yeah. In one instance it was due to their filters for a hand made work account. The othertime I contested a ban that was the result of a report against me by someone who took offense to something I said.m on a personal account. I havn't been in a situation where I tried to get a sub account overturned though so can't comment in that. Also bare in mind that this was before ID verification checking. They were fairly recent incidents i'd say, but policy could have changed sonce then in concerned regions.
