The biggest problem is the high taxes.

You can get them in much more tax friendly countrys with lower costs for a lot less money.

America's way to unstable plus with so many Americans are connected to Musk unprofitable businesses probably the most unstable person alive, which does not give much trust going with America.

Most are attractive to South America or Asia, or the Caribbean islands

You guys underestimate the craze about US.

US despite all it's follies is still the biggest economy in the world.

I mean if you're looking to escape your country for any number of reasons or are consistently bothered by your country's weak passport, then yes spending 150k on something like St. Kitt's makes a lot of sense.

But this is not aimed at those people.

This is for people who are driven by hunger. Who are enamored by both the Silicon Valley and the Wall Street.

For whatever reasons, their current nationality won't let them get their foot in the door, on all the money being made in the US.

For such people, with year long Visa wait times, spending a mil (or even 5 for the platinum) looks like a great deal.

I personally know at least 4 people who've begun getting their affairs in order out here.

That includes

- Preparing to sell their old inherited homes in the city, that would easily fetch them the equivalent of a million, and moving to a cheaper property in the suburbs either outright purchased or rented.

- Selling land or invested properties

- Selling gold

- Consolidating bank accounts and local taxes for easier exit/documentation

- Considering taking loans from friends and family or even banks

A lot of people are going to go all-in on this.

And like most gamble, they'll either make it or end up losing everything they once owned and/or amassing crippling debt.

my "only" ( there might be a million more :D ) problem with it is, what happens when he is no longer president, can the next person just invalidate it..
I was thinking that myself so you could had just wasted it

I don't think US can give me the life standard that I'm used to now after living in these 'third world countries'. Not to mention that my current passport (Poland) is in top 10 strongest passports worldwide and if I ever was really in the mood for 'first world' I can stay in Canada for 6 months without a visa lol. Also I can reside in Europe since it's European Union passport, etc. Not sure about these non-EU countries like Liechtenstein and Switzerland, etc, but I can stay in EU member countries. Latin America supposedly has easier residences for everyone, not sure about bank accounts, though. But Asia is a bitch when it comes to visas and residences for non-Asians.

Makes sense.

Everyone I speak to American-wise wise is living in Asia or South America or planning to move to in the near future

Glad you found my tag funny!

Yeah I totally get it.

I don't blame you or anyone else really. If I started over that's what I would do.

The months I spent out in Thailand training as a pup are some of the best memories I have.

I got a friend who hangs around Asia and essentially lives like a king.

Oh it wasn't a negative connotation.

I agree with you as a matter of fact, it's not just Europe Hostile, it's globally hostile.

Still my point was, there's a lot of folks out there who are going to think this is the best thing in the world and wouldn't mind uprooting their lives to get this.

Portugal has a better deal imo. You can buy a passport or even Italy. You get the passport after 5 years.

With that there is visa-free using the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) for USA
