Can a large company be run solely with AI agents? According to Elon Musk, the answer is yes, and now he has decided to take what started as a joke seriously.

Elon Musk has reportedly started a new company. That is, in addition to Tesla, Space X, XAI, Boring Company and Neuralink. But unlike these, no humans will work for the new company. The idea is instead to use AI agents to simulate the work that takes place in a large, well-known software company.

What big, well-known company is it?

Well, Elon Musk's new venture is called Macrohard. Replace Macro with Micro and hard with soft and you should be able to figure it out (if our headline wasn't enough of a clue).

Back in 2021, Elon Musk wrote a tweet that simply said “Macrohard >> Microsoft.” But now the joke seems to have turned into something more concrete.

Joke or not, it is macro hard.

I wonder if Microsoft will take action against Elon Musk or the new company for “impersonating them”. I know other companies have taken similar actions against individuals for similar stunts. The idea behind it is that if the name of the company potentially confuses its customer base, then it’s an issue for them.

Wow.. Elon Musk is taking a joke too far? That never happened before.

On a separate topic, can anyone remember X's previous name?
