No shit no.. even the thought of it now. An ex of mine I lived in Mexico with almost two year ago now, she’s a cool lady… into a more alternative kind of lifestyle, those beats though and other relaxing music with the tv on for the visuals of course (need those visuals when sleeping right?) were a ritual set in stone, one that was not up for negotiation, ever.
Now personally I’ve always needed complete darkness and silence to sleep, all my life… day light coming in the shutters even while living in spain where we had wooden shutters used to drive me crazy, to the point I had a sleeping mask.. it was pink and fluffy, apparently in spain no men’s version smh - it was a blessing and used often! Don’t judge. So you can imagine how much fun nighttime was for me in Mexico with the music and tv on!
I’ve a friend as well, best friends since like 11 years old… he can’t sleep with silence, so always has a tv (doesn’t matter what’s on, just needs noise) on or something playing on his phone to sleep. He’s not going for the vibe of the ex gf was on, he requires noise to sleep - insane to me.
A lot of those videos and sounds claim to calm you down and also effect you in other ways due to their frequency, I remember though the Mexico girl telling me that they don’t really work as well on a tv or phone, they can’t match the frequency according to her? I never really looked into it, there is devices that can play them properly - speakers you can attach to things if I remember right.. but yeah shit she still had the tv on nightly
For sleeping no chance, for other benefits they say those frequencies can help with - I’d be interested to learn and find out the facts about them working effectively on normal devices or not?
