Just came across this image and it got me thinking hard : )

Most people would probably call this “The Dream” ... Having all your friends living in one quiet neighborhood like this

But when I started thinking about it from both an introvert and extrovert perspective, I realized there are a lot of pros and cons.

These are just a few that came to mind (I’m sure there are more for both sides):

- Pros: Instant hangouts, Real community...
- Cons: No privacy, Drama, Constant social pressure...

Personally, I can’t decide if this would be a dream or a slow nightmare : D
On paper, this setup looks perfect and part of me low-key wants it... but real life doesn’t always match the picture : )

What ya fellas think... would you actually want this setup or not?

I would not honestly and it's highly unlikely because it seems like a pipe dream

I would rather stay in the woods as opposed to all this

A complete nightmare. Beyond unbearable for me.

Dude, you got 6 friends, WTF 👀 .. Anyway, I think it would be better to live with friends like that than neighbours that you don`t go along with, privacy comes between friends that respect eachother.

It's not just privacy, friends fight all the time, but in such intense circumstance every tiny argument becomes explosive and very soon after instead of being a group of 6 close friends, you'll be splitting into two or three groups who are hostile to the rest just because someone wasn't invited for a beer one night.

It's not even me being over sensitive, it's just how people are.

Oh yeah I had that thought too. I really love the environment though... the open space and that field at the back

I’d probably just take one house around there with the same landscape instead : )

I also believe it’s gonna be a nightmare in the long run. Might be fun at the beginning... maybe just a month tops : D

😄 Bruh, I ain’t got 6friends... like 6 I’d even call close friends, nah.

And like you said, it’s better to have a neighborhood of people you trust and can rely on... that's one of the Pros : )

Haha... all fun and games until one of the friends ends up sleeping with another friend’s wife (could be this or over beer night : D)

This is another perfect example of how things could turn out... people change and habits clash.

I would hate, too much drama.

by the way, where do you live?

Since your friends have houses, but where is yours??
Friend 7 - Hey, wanna go out and get a beer?

Friend 1 - Can’t, gotta work late

Friend 7 - Bro, you got home 30 minutes ago, I saw you pull into your garage.

😄 I would probably be at Friend 4... the community leader / overseer

Freeloader !! 😆

Depend on your friendship, if you looking for formality type frnz who always ask you and serve you first instead you do it yourself then it can be break anytime but if you need real frnz who always bother you while saying let me do it now, you are wrong here, no judgement only what they feel about the situation and discuss you calmly than you can stay with them anywhere anytime. 😉

To see these assholes' faces first thing in the morning? Nah, I'm good. I think friends are for hanging out once or twice a week and temporarily escape reality. And to rely on in hard times.

I think another thing we could consider here is culture though.

Maybe this whole thing isn’t even an issue in some cultures because in general, it wouldn’t be such a bad thing to have good people around you : )

This reminds me of a conversation I had with a longtime friend a few weeks ago.

He said something similar... that one of the things keeping some friendships strong over the years is actually the fact that we don’t often see or talk to each other

And when we finally do, it makes the link-up feel more special with so much to catch up on

They only f****ing want to do drugs.

They're f*****ing useless.

Instead of hugging and loving each other, they want drugs.

People are crazy stupid. They do not understand how to bond with each other. Especially at a young age like 22 or around that. They only want to learn and expect god knows what.

Truly agree with you.. they can't even want to understand what is bad going around them.

I didn’t even look at it from that perspective... I was thinking more of a family-type setting.

But yeah even without drugs involved, I’ve come to realize this idea is more of a fantasy than anything else : )

No having no one around is the best thing. No matter who they are.

I think everything is depend on understanding and situation, if you react according to situation understanding will come up easily otherwise it can't be and it's rare to get people like this.
