We’re looking for a reliable freelance developer to become a long-term technical partner for our e-commerce business.

Our current developer is moving on, and we need someone experienced to take over day-to-day support, development tasks, and help us navigate a major store rebuild.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Handling ad-hoc development and maintenance on our existing PrestaShop store
  • Troubleshooting and fixing urgent issues ("fires") as they arise – quick thinking and calm under pressure are essential
  • Developing bespoke modules, refining functionality, and improving performance
  • Collaborating with our internal design team during a complete store rebuild
  • Working with and occasionally managing server-side issues – experience with server environments is a strong plus

What We’re Looking For:

  • Solid experience with PHP, MySQL, and Smarty
  • In-depth knowledge of PrestaShop, including custom module development and store architecture
  • Confidence in navigating server environments to help troubleshoot and resolve deeper technical issues
  • Reliable, responsive, and clear communicator
  • Comfortable working independently and in sync with a team
  • Available via Slack during business hours (8am–3pm or 9am–4pm, timezone flexible)

Project Structure & Budget:

  • Initial projects will be paid hourly or on a per-quotation basis, depending on the scope.
  • Once we’ve successfully completed the first few tasks together, you’ll be offered a $3,000/month retainer, continuing month-to-month for ongoing development and support.
  • A separate $60,000 budget has been allocated for the full redevelopment of our website, which is set to begin in approximately 4 months, with an estimated timeline of 12–18 months. You’ll play a key role in that project alongside our in-house design team.
  • Long-term, you’ll be our primary developer for everything related to our PrestaShop platform.
This is a flexible but committed partnership – work comes in waves, but when it does, we need someone we can count on.

To apply, please send:
  • A brief intro and relevant experience (DM is fine)
  • Examples of PrestaShop or similar projects you’ve worked on
  • Your hourly rate or general availability
