You know those Google AI results that come up whenever you search something now? What do all of you think about those?

I don’t know about you guys, but it keeps giving me the most incorrect info. It’s like I search for something like how many countries there are, but it starts including states and provinces in the number. Not that example exactly, but you see what I mean.

It’s like I want the results to be right because it make things easier, but I just can’t trust them.

Anyone else struggling with those AI results?

In my experience, it’s been pretty bad. Many of my queries right now surround pet care, home maintenance, and Xenforo; and the results I get from Google’s AI overview are often times erroneous.

These are all just Google’s desperate attempts to push their AI products into people’s everyday experience.
It’s no different from how Microsoft used to force Internet Explorer/Edge on every Windows user.

Those AI results are handy sometimes, but I've seen too many wrong answers. I still double-check with real sources everytime.

Google will eventually incorporate ads in these AI results, so that users won't be able to skip them. They might even give text links within the content so that the user treats ads like organic content.

Absolutely. You're not alone. Those AI summaries are hit or miss right now.

Sometimes they give you exactly what you need in a clean snapshot, but other times it’s like they're hallucinating. I've seen them confidently spit out wrong dates, fake statistics, and even weirdly made-up terms.

Just like a smart friend who thinks they know everything but doesn’t double-check. The problem is they sound so sure, even when they’re wrong. And that's dangerous if people just take it at face value.
