Google Just Lost $100 Billion…Because Apple Accidentally Exposed The Quiet Collapse Of Search.

In court today, Apple admitted something wild:
For the first time in 20 years, Google’s traffic on iPhones is going down.
Not slowing. It’s down.
And just like that, $100B was wiped out as investors dumped Google’s Alphabet stock.
Why such a big drop?
Because if it’s happening on Apple devices…
It’s probably happening everywhere.

AI is already taking over search. Google’s been trying to keep that quiet. Now it’s out.
The old internet is cracking.
And nobody’s ready for what comes next.

Based on my own experience, AI gives you more direct and resourceful answers than most search queries.

It’s only a matter of time before people start using AI for absolutely everything - even shopping.

Any such particular research that made you say like a search example would be sweet 😊

Remi will witness Microsoft spit on Samsung, sell Yahoo for pennies while taking over Google's ecosystem & feed it to Apple.
i been saying it for years :)

I’ve been using Perplexity for work-related research (mainly the Deep Research feature), and it’s honestly awesome. Not only do I get super well-structured answers, but it also recommends companies for the exact products or services I’m looking into, and even explains why they’d be a good fit.

For everything else, a quick ChatGPT request does the trick. Just ask, and voila-you’ve got your answer in seconds.

Personally using less Google and more AI for my research as well. But thet changes when looking for local businesses. So for those Google will remain king imo.

And of how much importance is the impending anti-trust lawsuit on this crash?

They are the hot favourites to reach AGI.

Personally I think on the contrary, the antitrust thing was indication of Google’s potential. Bing has been trying for years to get the foot in the door but even with powering a dozen notable search engine, still can’t hold a candle to their search.

However Google are leading the way with unlimited DRs for Gemini. That is the one to watch here. That being said, I have been impressed with Google Search’s AI Overview. Absolutely brilliant for a free LLM and just a very brief preview of their capabilities in the AI space imho
