Algorithm Updates Google Search Ranking Volatility Around 11 July

People are complaining about their rankings going crazy lately. Some are really tired of these constant updates.

Did anyone else notice any ranking changes for their sites?

 
I seen this.

I figured they "broke" something in the spam update and just applied a patch or fix.

I've not seen any blip to be honest we are in our summer downturn where traffic drops due to the nature of the core product we sell.

I have seen a few "odd things" though since the recent update in June, can't give exactly what without everyone knowing my site but an example would be:

Say I sell dry food for dogs and I rank 5-7 for that search term "dry food for dogs".

Since the last major update I now also rank in the spot 2-4 for the search term "dogs"

Not exactly sure why I am there it's happened once or twice before we just live with it until the next update and then it fixes it's self.

I’m thinking the same thing. There have been some suggestions going around in other SEO communities that all that AI shit they’re adding in broke something in their algo. Now I don’t know if that’s true but I think it’s possible.
