I thought I'd contribute to this forum a bit by making a quick guide on finding low competition keywords like a boss. Just watch out for @FrankImawn. ;)

All this method really involves is scraping keywords from sites that automatically generate content like Reddit and Quora. You can even use this method to scrape forums for keywords too.

For the sake of the guide, I'll be using Reddit, but feel free to use any other auto content site!

This method does require paid tools like semrush so just keep that in mind before proceeding.

Step 1: Open Semrush
Go to the domain overview part of Semrush and type in reddit.com. Again you can use Quora or a forum or something if you want instead.

Then, click on "View all Organic Keywords". This can be found under the top organic keywords text.

Step 2: Exclude All Keywords that include the name of the site
In this example you want to exclude all keywords that say Reddit.

Step 3: Set the settings and filters
Filter the results to show only the top 10 results in the SERPs.

You also can filter by search intent if you'd like especially if you're looking for buying keywords.

Finally you can export to CSV and BAM you got your keywords list.

I used to use roughly the same method, but used a subreddit relevant to my niche (as subfolder) rather than using all of reddit.
It's worth considering if you got your niche set already.
