The Harvard Business Review reports that personal and emotional support has become a leading use case for AI, with users frequently leveraging it for therapy, companionship, and navigating complex emotions. The data indicates that AI acts as a "safe space" for vulnerability, though experts express concern that its tendency to provide sycophantic, validating responses can warp emotional judgment.

According to a Harvard Business Review analysis of AI adoption in 2026, 59% of organizations have deployed AI tools, yet only 18% have deeply integrated them into core workflows. While 64% report productivity gains, challenges such as internal silos and skills gaps hinder the conversion of these gains into new revenue streams.

Do you talk feelings with it too?

This is the kind of stuff I’m here for!

In my circle of friends many of them are dissatisfied with therapists and I know of some who have turned to AI for therapy.

Hey say it works but I think that’s only Elbe abuse it’s telling them what they want to hear instead of what they need to hear. Like the article says AI gives validating responses. Some of these friends have even become a bit full of themselves lately so I agree with the article.
