Have you or someone you know ever been to jail?

Officially 48 hours arrest... only. 🎃

Psych ward for 2 months. Worse than arrest. They give you too many drugs.

Personally...

10 years of self-isolation at home, feeling absolutely twisted in my body and mind! Diagnosed schizophrenia... 🧐

This illness is way worse than jail.
Fortunately there is medication, but I was taking too much and had side effects. 🤪

It took me 5 years to find medication stack that wouldn't make my legs restless and wouldn't make me feel emotionless.

And another 5 years to open my mouth to anyone without feeling like they'd try to kill me. 🤗

A couple of them  both online and in person, hmm ..

Yeah in multiple countries too.. my favourite was spain actually. People that know me well here know what I was about when I was younger - let’s just say I was always an entrepreneur, however my commodity was drugs lol

Wow, now it all makes sense. Thailand, drugs, SEO. It's all connected like... on acid or shrooms... Pursuit of happiness...

What's so simple as drugs and can be legally taxed... pharma, crypto, SEO. :D

I met two brothers, they spent 22 years in jail and their 5 years left but the court gave them the option to spend 5 more years in jail or pay the fine. They chose to pay the fine but their family abandoned them they were having no money they were my father's friends. They came to our home for money but of course we were not able to pay their fine. After seeing them, I was traumatized by how a jail can ruin your life. MAN 22 years is too much, they went to jail when I was not even born

i've got a pal expecting to do some serious digital marketing studies when he goes in, off the back of what I learned from you guys

other than that, prison's changed a lot of people around me's lives in good ways and in bad

i have a pal that's terrified of cling film because of his few years in, he hasn't even told us why, i've honestly sat up at night thinking about the hundred different ways cling film could terrify you

i've been to jail, never to prison

I've been locked up overnight many a time in my younger days... Young and thinking or knowing your superman.

Only in a police station cell. Used to joke about having a coffee mug at my location station.

Avoided a longer sentence twice.

Got friends who done time 3 & 5 years.

Did a bit under 6 months for strong-armed robbery in my youth... was young dumb and drunk, saw two others flashing around some cash, gave em a whoppin' and pocketed the money. Ended up getting ID'd hours later with police cruising around the neighborhood. Quite frankly, it put me on the right course, on release I was house arrest for another 6 months + weekly check-ins... got addicted to EverQuest during that time and it kept me off the street and away from a lot of bad influences around.

I did end up arrested again a few years later for putting my step father through a glass coffee table when he smacked my mother in front of me. Was given 3 years suspended sentence and mandatory anger management classes. The classes helped a lot and techniques I learned there I continue to use today, but I'll still go into a blind rage if someone laid hands on my wife or children.

Ultimately, don't recommend it kids. Keep your nose clean, stay out of jail. It's boring, depressing, and you're locked up with far more fucked up individuals... nearly got stabbed for winning a few games of crazy 8s in a row during rec time, they ended up putting that dude into isolation for the rest of my time there.

Now we know each other better. ;)
Let`s just say most of us were growing up in a world without Internet and spent our times in the teens with other things .. like ..

I always see jail come up in movies or mentioned on the internet but I’ve never known anyone who’s been to jail.
Realistically, doesn't matter if you do know anyone

People know they're real when they quote this

Damn bro... and I didn't even get to write up a good character ref for you for the judge lmao!

GG here kept things good for me when after 9 years and living a totally different life with a kid in spain, a booming SEO business and a rock star lifestyle - I went to Alicante airport one day to get a one day flight to the Republic of Ireland (I couldn't fly into northern ireland as it's uk where my warrent was).. longest flight I ever took, interpol flagged me up on the Alicante airport system. Now I had been to Dubai just over a week before and I flew countless times per month, my crime was 9 years previous when I was like 21 years old or so. What happened was "Brexit" - the UK sent out international arrest warrents for every single thing in the book - I'll give you some better scope.. what I was caught with those 9 years before was £200 street value, a class C drug too that you can get from a doctor to help you sleep FFS

But good on GG, even had phone calls with my gf at the time and would check in often, kept any threads on BHW running smoothly and liased with Cormac now and then (another seo partner of mine)... AND wrote me a glowing character review for the judge lol

The judge they put me in front of when interpol took me from spain to N.Ireland (UK) - the very exact judge from 9 years before that gave me bail never to see me again until that day, a bad red mark against his name for almost a decade, did he give me bail again like everyone thought (because they didn't think it would be him) I'd get... DID HE FUCK LOL.. No he knew it was one week until courts in N.Ireland stop for summer, he also sent the case to the crown court knowing they wouldn't sit until September so I'd spend all summer (this was around april at the time) waiting on remand until crown court opened.

Jail is easy, especially if you have "freinds".. I had people looking for me in the jail back home that got told to find me and look out for me, they sent those messages from Spain. The hard part is missing people and if you have a gf it's even worse, a lot of guys just end up splitting up for their own mental health.

When it got to crown court in September the judge says "this isn't serious enough it shouldn't be up here, it should be in the magistrates" and I'm sitting thinking YES I know but I'm fucking glad it isn't as that was the judge I bounced on for 9 years, then he looks sharply over at the police "I know you are busy, but looking at everything in front of me here this was a young man 9 years ago who clearly isn't living that life now, so why are you wasting my courts time on top of the resources and money spent to aprehend him 9 years later".

He took 10 minutes to himself and came back, he said to me "do you wish to go back to Spain" (cops wanted to try keep me in n.ireland.. my life was spain then so didn't make sense).. to which I said yes your honour. Ok, 3 months suspended for 6.. go back to Spain and keep on the track you've been on, don't let this knock you off, see it as a blessing that it's finally behind you."

Actually the only judge I ever thought was a good dude... but yeah I could write a few movies the life I've had.

Oh yeah I think I may have still even been a MOD on bhw at the time, I was 100% still exec with all my sales threads opened - GG and bz made sure it was all kept under wraps and if it did come up they'd sort it.

If you're here you probably know someone that went to jail 😂.

Nah, police officer be like 'not everyone can leave' and I left. Jeez they like creeping people out, don't they? 😂

I actually got suggested applying to police during job councelor's assesment. I went to army recruitment event. Etc, etc. A bit too sickly for that / physical work, though. My grandma was in the army and what was then an equivalent of police. So nah, no jail.

This happened in late December 2024 / early January 2025...

I was very lost in drugs, mainly using too much 2C-B (or tusi, as it's known in my country). Besides that, I used to surround myself with famous and well-known people in my country (very different from my life now). In December, after visiting my family in my hometown for Christmas, I decided to go to Punta del Este, Uruguay, on vacation with some friends (or so I thought at the time). The reality was that we were all just a bunch of drug addicts who only snorted drugs to make life easier. We started inviting drug dealers and models, the best models, in fact, and everything seemed to be going well, one of the best vacations of my life. I didn't have any money, but we were staying in one of the most expensive hotels in Uruguay, with the best models from Argentina. We felt like we were on top of the world. But since we didn't have money for our drugs, we wanted to bring more drug dealers. The thing is, we ended up with four hotel rooms (all in the same hotel). The drug dealers were in two, I was in one with a friend, and almost all the models were in the other.

What happened was that by hanging around with so many drug dealers doing their business, everything started to change. There was noise, but I started to notice the tension in the air, and the atmosphere wasn't great. I even told my friends before everything happened that I thought the police were going to arrest us. One night, I just couldn't take it anymore and decided to leave. The next morning, I returned to Argentina with three of the models who were with me, without telling anyone.

Imagine what happened once I arrived. None of my friends were answering their phones. A few hours later, I found out they were all in jail. The case went viral on all the news channels in Argentina and Uruguay. They were caught with a lot of money and drugs (13 arrested, 5 released, 8 to jail). Most of them made deals and got two years or so, but it's crazy considering I was there just a few hours ago. Anyway, it was one of those experiences that radically changes your life. After that, I was never the same. I moved to a different city, changed my surroundings, and my life is completely different now.

I can't imagine what would have become of me if I had only stayed a few more hours; it was truly the craziest experience I've ever had, and luckily I have a god watching over me.

Right now you are on a forum full of criminals! When it comes to other people I met a rapper through my friend who was dealing kilograms of weed. He spent months in jail and prison. I liked his music - very unique, but was too distracted to make career. On his 3rd court case he migrated to some country with his gf and their child. He escaped his fate...

I had schizo undiagnosed back then, so I couldnt help him. My experience was limited too. I barely spoke to anyone. I lowkey used BHW as a form of therapy... very dangerous therapy. I was trying to help everyone... without medication... so sometimes I wouls write obvious stuff feeling like a genius (grande delusion).

Overnight a couple of times in the UK with the civilian police, one was for firearms offences ( bailed and cleared ) just before my 18th birthday. Another was for assault in self defence, again bailed and cleared, just after my 18th.

Got 18 months in military nick as MCTC in Colchester for armed robbery, that was my 21st birthday being fairly sober. Oh, the joys of being young.

Week after getting home, I was asked by a lad who lived up the road from me who'd been in MCTC at the same time, if I would take part in an armed robbery with them, I politely declined, as in civvy street, this would be a 10-year stretch.
