This used to be a real mixed bag with getting quality backlinks. Haven’t tried it in years but is it still viable?
Anyone have experience with HARO over the last few years?

Solid response. I’ll have to look into quoted myself.Quoted I prefer.
The free platform lets you reply to new requests after 2 hours and you get I think 2-4 free replies per month. HOWEVER if you fill in a decent profile and it's niche based you will get the moderation team there reach out to you and ask you to reply as alot of the "experts" there are AI spun shit and the replies that I have seen match that...
At least I get asked a fair amount to apply or reply to an advert on quoted.
Paying for the premium version works also does have a cost implication vs what you spend and your return and time spent. You need to fill in decent replies as if it was going to be featured in that article not just fire off some bullet points.
I like on Quoted as you can see the publications and once you land 1 or 2 with that publication or writer they get to know you and come directly to you without the need to pre register or spend a credit you can also actively target companies you want links and mentions from like for us we hit newspapers and good home guide and similar sites/media outlets..
I used to like HARO but found it went down hill fast for our needs anyway. Quoted works well for us.
We do the old #jurnoreuqests on social media and other similar tags for Q4 promotions when you want to be focused or tagged with seasonal gifts that get's us a good few mentions yearly also.
