Elon doesn't understand jackshit, he just makes fun of people.
The design of those cars is awful. Maybe Tesla Truck but it looks like experiment rather than real car.
Also cars... automotive... this industry has been hijacked and you can't really start a car company...

Just pick a simple idea you like... like selling dildos and make first million.
There's no need to build clusterfucked SaaS, some complex automation etc... you can make it in a lazy way.

Based on their arguments an average car is being used only 5% of its time and the rest of the time it sits in the garage.
To increase the usage of the average car from 5% to 20% they want that on average 4 families are sharing a car so there will be 3/4 less cars needed.
How will be the usage ?People can order the autonomous car via app and it will bring them to their desired location and move forward to its next call.
This way the envirement will be less harmed and the effectivness of the car will increase by 300%.
It may sound futuristic but in about 15 years this will come reality.

Now you have Uber,Freenow,Bolt etc which are already conditioning people to use app's when wanting to drive somehwere.
Uber has a contract with Volvo for autonomous cars
Freenow with Mercedes etc.
Since 2019 in all european cities the cost of parking in the city are increasing heavily.
Parkingspots are decreased on purpose so there is always a lack of free parking making it harder for the drivers.
Car insurance go massivly up
Greenzones requiring to have new model cars etc...
When i saw that in 2009 i was thinking how can they achieve something like that when everyone loves his own car.
The only answer i found to it is people won't be able to afford new cars anymore but instead will user services like uber and co which prices will dramaticly fall once the drivers are replaced with autonomous cars.
There was an article back on 2024 where CEO of BlackRock claimed that in 2030 only 20-25% of people will be able to afford their own car in the US.
Also Elon is not a mega brain at all.
He is just the choosen one from Rothschild.A front men and nothing more.
