I always used a necessary professional referencing stule (mostly Harvard) in my PBN articles.

Thing is, LLMs all seem to pull information from books and articles without even referencing the author. I have tested and seen this a multitude of times, unless and until you ask them for a source. But otherwise, it's as if mass plagarism is the normal way forward. Meta scrape 81 terrbyes of data from Annas Archive amd they continue to scrape the Internet without often giving so much as even a citation in return, let alone links. Where are things heading?

Yeah, this is so wrong... While I like using AI instead of Google nowadays, lack of references is just unacceptable... I'll ask it sometimes to write down references but by default it just hopes you won't do it.

First it was taking source code from hard work of well meaning Open Source Projects to build their proprietary clouds and now its content they're after. It's always one rule for us: Earn it. And another for them ie big tech: steal it. It is starting to feel like a bit of a fools errand even copyrighting anything. AI bot web scraping is obviously part on one of the most diabolical business models the web has ever seen
