How do you prevent “nerd neck” when you have to sit to work all day?

I think this is an issue everyone here can relate to. You know it’s that forward head and neck look you get hunched over the desk to look at the monitor. Or the one you get from staring down at your phone.

I looked in the mirror today and saw how bad it got. It’s not terrible just bad for me. It’s like I can’t straighten my own neck out anymore.

Do you not exercise to improve your posture?

Loads of videos available online

Also sitting position also matters a lot plus probably stretching every hour?

Bodyweight fitness for core strength and VR exercises (FitXR, Supernatural) for cardio work. If you don't care for going to a gym like myself, all you need is a pair of gymnastic rings you can hang off a bar at home. If most of your day is spent in front of a computer then invest in a good chair, ergonomic keyboard/mouse, make sure your monitor heights are adjusted correctly for correct posture (top of monitor should be around eye level), be mindful and adjust your posture often.

Stay active, get up and stretch every 45-60 minutes, walk. Your health is more important than anything else really, no point earning stacks if you're dead from an MI in your 40s and can't enjoy it, hate to say it but I already have a few friends that clocked out early this way because of sedentary lifestyles.

This!

Apart from the posture thing walking 200 steps every hour is a lifehack and helps your heart since it's a sitting job

Make sure to follow this rule...

Simply I don't have to.

Who forces you to do that?

That's criminal!

I am in whatever position I will at the time.

I have multiple devices and optimization that allows me to build in any place as long as the device can be connected to the internet and I feel good.

After 12 years in trenches I understand how to do it. 80% is thinking. 20% is perfect execution.

Once you understand a whole system of things, you outsource your stuff to people and focus on more thinking. Big ideaz... I love em.

Fear or missing out sitting and "productivity"? It does more harm than good in the long run. I can sit for a day or two but no more.

"to sit to work all day"
I remove sitting.
I remove work.
I remove doing all day.

Da fuq is this some concentration camp routine?!
