I have found I can't function during work without vaping weed will this be a problem in an office job?

I grow and make my own vapes at home to control the purity but what I find is every single time am facing a particularly boring day without a puff or two, or three - or at least don't have a stash when I can't get a little bit high just because I like having it around every single moment during work is dull and monotonous. I feel a sense of apathy about everything which carries over even to basic household and day to day chores like brushing my teeth. One puff is often all it takes to bring everything to life and even menial stuff at work can suddenly seem incredibly interesting. Ironically only time I feel I enjoy being sober is meeting up with friends. Some of them like to drink, me not so much. I just enjoy enlightening discussion and good company mostly if I am sober. I even some times go to the gym or martial arts classes high. Luckily nobody cares even though sometimes the giggles are a give away they can tell.

It hasn't been a problem as I have been partially or completely self-employed and then later WFH for so long. But now I've got an opportunity to progress professionally part time while I. study too but it means getting off my ass and driving to an office and mingling with co-workers. I wonder if anyone has been in a similar predicament - does it work out ok? My eyes are very sensitive to weed so even a puff of a particularly good harvest can make eyes sink a little sometimes, don't wish anyone to notice. I'm just worried about getting caught

Don't get me wrong, I have gone weeks, even months without smoking, but I need to know I have some edible oil or vape around even when I don't otherwise I fret.

Change to Zyn's (nicotine pouches), you'll feel much better.

It is way easier to quit those than to quit vaping/smoking.

When I transitioned from vape to pouches, I felt my overall health improved significantly.

Strong pouches still give me headaches... but I will quit nicotine again after a week or two, as I am slowly minimizing the doses.

They say that quitting nicotine is as hard as heroin, honestly, it is not that difficult if you get it out of your system bit by bit.

It gets worse man, every few years it gets you too if you don't cut the bad apples or lifestyle

I'm not taking anything but I remember when I attended these IT meetups / HR events in my old city all the devs were drinking a lot and it was fine. Technically it was after work, but it was sort of part of work because they were obligated to come to create a crowd. Idk if they come drunk during actual work hours 😆.

Also seen some sales guy (but he worked for himself, yeah) say how they basically went stoned during extra hard work day with tons of sales calls.

So it's a thing, work is so lifeless that people do indeed get drunk or stoned to get through it. It's sad. Wish for a better life quality for all of us so we actually find our days inspiring and not such a drag that we need to stone ourselves to get through the day at all.

I was well high when I wrote this after not smoking weed in ages as it happens, and got a tad melodramatic. I mean I do love it but don't have a problem quitting for work or anything. Please ignore. 😅

It's ok, whole IT industry is permanently stoned and/or drunk. Something's wrong with that work itself... Just too fuckin stressful.

Your fucked.

People think I'm an alcoholic and now you will be the weed addict who can't function without a puff.
