A recent YouTube video sheds light on the growing concerns and living conditions of residents of Gallatin, Tennessee, home to Meta’s largest and growing data centers. This video further highlights the broader implications that people are victims of, the cost humans pay for the budding AI centers, and their hunger for more power.

400 yards im surprised they not been forced out for and if nothing else security reasons

I always say AI will be our future enemy. No matter how. Its for sure.

We are going to have more data centers around the world. Most companies are becoming hungry for data and the race to train their AI models with better data sets will only make things worse. The tech to store large amounts of data didn't change much in decades as many of us are still using hdd for laptops. I've heard about tech to store data in DNA but they sound more like sci-fi which may take several decades to become reality. There is nothing we can do as we are the end users and Govts will always support tech giants.

What's crazy is that this thread is from over a year ago and data centers are getting built even more rapidly.

This is going to become a reality and already is for so many people.

Thought they're meant to relocate residents when they build stuff like this. That's a problem just waiting to happen.
