Pushing ads on TV + watching Netflix next year.

Double ads.

Let's go back to cable

I run some netflix ads which are relatively acceptable because it's only on the free tier. I wouldn't want to alienate my users through this or similar channels, though.

I was very curious about Samsung ads but it seems just as annoying as these to the end user.

Isn't Samsung the one putting ads on fridges and shit or is that LG?

The conversion rate on that must be like nothing lmao

It's samsung.
But imagine an ad for a pizza place if the fridge "detects" being empty in time for dinner. I bet there are cool use cases for it.

LG downfall. They can't even make a phone since years. My biggest brand related disappointment in life. Their products looked good and suddenly this!

Sometimes I like little pizza ad. Would buy now but had enough food for today. Ah...

There's nothing smart about the fucking smart TV. You can't adjust sound, have to click through the fucking remote like a retard and ads everywhere, never understood the appeal.

I have a TV and a laptop next to it. Plus this amazing thing called HDMI cable. I start my laptop, open EQUALIZER with compressor. And all of a sudden, the issue of having sounds too loud and dialogues too quiet is not a problem.

Oh yes and torrents. Fuck paying for 10 shitty streaming services if I want to watch something. And the best part? I can't even watch some obscure shows in my locale even if I pay for them. Cheers Amazon.

So yeh, screw paying for that.

idk bro imagine trying to diet and your fridge is telling you to get pizza.

Might be ok if it can be customized but you know with these companies that it won't.

At one point, I thought about getting a QD-OLED TV because I have a QD-OLED monitor for my desktop and it's a very noticeable upgrade compared to what I had before.

My problem, of course, is stuff like this. I have a Roku Streambar set up with my current TV, and the ads on that are already getting to be too much. It's just not worth to get shown more ads, in my opinion.

Now, if there were a "non-smart" QD-OLED TV, I'd actually consider getting that, at least when I can afford that kind of equipment again.

it wil be smart soon
when it records every thing u say
so it can tailor and personalize it and shove personalized ads down your throats
:)
very smart

I haven't seen the targeting options, but I bet a creative advertiser can make something cool with it.

Aren’t there fridges that show ads too? I swear everything with “smart” in its name is filled with ads.
