Is Black hat SEO cheaper than white hat SEO?

Hey all.

Does anyone know if black hat SEO is cheaper to do than white hat SEO? I know you can do both yourself and white hat SEO is just following Google's guidelines. But with black hat SEO these days there's a lot of buying of links and stuff.

I would say white hat takes a lot more time but black hat costs more money.

Blackhat short term, since i have seen people make 10k grant accounts for Google on suicide.

Whitehat long term, since you make name for yourself and get organic traffic eventually

I would say yes, but it depends on what you’re buying. If you want to rank quickly and don’t care about penalties, there are some SEO packages online that are relatively cheap but also high risk. White-hat SEO is almost always more expensive simply because it’s white hat. It takes much more time, and outreach costs are also high.

It depends what you mean by "cheaper"

Blackhat I think is a money investment.

Whitehat is a time investment.

Blackhat = money + quick results but at high risk

Whitehat = time + lasting results at a slower return

Personally I think if you have to dump money into something just go down the ads route. I never really grasp the IM concept of churn and burn or fake till you make it. IF you have to put 3-4 years into multiple BH sites to start a "legit" or WH venture why not just go WH to start and get a part time job.
