Is Greenland Going to be Invaded now!?!?!?

Totally understandable.. Things look scary because U.S. politics tend to be loud, unstable, and full of aggressive rhetoric right now, especially from Donald Trump.
But most of this is talk, not immediate action as institutions, allies, and international law still act as brakes, and we’re not on the edge of sudden war or collapse.

Review the facts:
- Greenland despite being a Danish territory is largely of self-governing and has traditionally had the the right to pursue independence
- Very rich in natural resources
- There has been a massive US presence through military, air force, and even space force there and has been for ages and under an old treaty with Denmark has always been welcome to expand this influence anyway
- Denmark is preparing to heighten security there, including by buying F16s... directly form the US itself (Wtf)

Whole thing makes little sense and points publicly toward a grand theatrical but privately, the fact the inuit and other leaders of Greenland almost unanimously favour independence signals this to be an attempt to force the hand of Greenlands leaders to concede this massive sovereignty and degree of independence in favour of greater protection under Danish rulership and regulation under international law probably. In other words, doesn't matter whether it's Denmark or the US - they're allies working together to 'herd a sheep' that's gone a little astray before any 'real' rivals - probably BRICS leaning can manipulate the situation there for their own benefit.

What is going on with the US? I'm really scared right now guys!
Scared of what?

Are you from Greenland?

That announcement is nothing new.

War drums are beating. War is coming it won't be like ww2 so don't worry. Times moved on since then.

Wherever you are. If your concerned or scared then prepare.

Orange man is threatening to tariff EU for blocking US
Yeah I seen.

He's still pushing the secuirty angle.

USA got bases there. So there's that box ticked.

Should just call it what it is.

In an earlier interview hr said he wanted ownership since you can do things you cannot do currently due to it being on lease/allies.

But honestly he is mostly just talk and just loud. Data wise his deportations are nowhere close to Obama. Tarif is also very common, other presidents weren't loud about it.

He is a very transactional guy imo.

Re. invasion unfortunately it's all about leverage. Though I am not endorsing this. It is what it is. Everyone with power are just playing chess and the general population unfortunately are just pawns

what u mean invaded
greenland always belonged to the us!

there is a reason why Poland aint gonan defend
because poland knows US owns it

EU is a puppet. Last time a member dared to exercise some independance (Germany) and try to strike some kind of trade deals with Russia their entire fucking gas pipelines got blown up and no one even wanted to touch the investigation. Just pinned it all on some homeless Ukranian guy or something from what I recall

Poland is already owned by Germany and US and recently taken over by Ukraine (even leading postal service is ukrainian now) so I wouldn't have high expectations from a country that isn't sovereign in the first place

Ps: sorry mods. Just came to my PC so couldn't've merge it

-

Ps: The reason for the long posts was to write what i thought earlier, things never changed they have always been doing these(all presidents). Its their job and also because they in politics they have to tap dance when they can just be straight shooters.

Additionally deportation is a tool that should be used wisely and without noise. Deport anyone Illegal, these illegals ruin it for the ones who go somewhere legally filling all the paper work and spend (time + $).

My suggestion(fantasy version): Leaders must accept its only going to get to a stale-mate. Major reset, educate people. Stop the polarization.
