Is it just me or does AI feel like it caused other software to stagnate?

I'm big on video editing as I've mentioned here before.

Ever since AI started taking off in popularity, the focus on software updates for video and photo editing has shifted entirely on adding AI features. No more quality of life updates or anything else. It's all just AI.

It makes everything feel like it's become stagnant. I can't be the only one who feels like this right?

Yes it does feel like that. Many software updates for my phone are just focused on adding AI. I do not like it do not use those features. It is the same for my PC. I disable them when I get the chance.
