It's kind of crazy but I keep coming across all sorts of threads on other forums who think SEO as it is now isn't worth it in 2025.

I'm not asking if it's dead obviously it's not. But do you think it's just too unstable of an industry right now to really get into? I'm was thinking of offering SEO services but now I'm thinking it might too hard to do that because people expect results and SEO is all over the place.

What are you offering, though?

Are you an innovator and getting with or better still AHEAD of the times?

Or are you doing SEO like it's still the 1990s

That's what you should be asking yourself. What's making you different, or what are you offering that's going to make a difference to me or anyone else? If you can't answer that, there's no point getting into it.

I don’t feel like I’m an innovator tbh.

You make some good points. Maybe I shouldn’t be offering SEO in that case.

SEO is worth it, but investing in so-called blackout 'methods' to try to supercharge your rankings is what might very well be dying. At least in certain niches.

He's asking to offer it as a service rather than is it worth it for a website

Specifically for that, could be a different question altogether. Depends on what the intention is... some of the shitest SEO marketplace BSTs I saw, like the Cartoon Network and Disney themes packages are still booming apparently.

Wheras some of the good ones I've seen have since stopped selling them as 'mass market' products and can even be invite only.

Presumably, if OP wants to actually provide a quality and legitimate service rather than just be a sheister, I'd say no, not worth it.

Well... Semrush branched out into general marketing suite at this point so yeah. They obviously think clients want something more than seo.

Of course it's still worth it especially if you sell links. Lots of people still buy links and are eager to try out new link building services.

Have you been browsing too much whitehatworld to come across those threads?

Don’t listen to those people who say SEO is dead specially on bot filled forums like that where people are just bumping their post count.
