these days Google claims that bad backlinks don’t hurt your site and just “do nothing”. Personally I don’t believe that, but let’s say that were true. What would that mean for disavowing links?

Many I talk to in the space believe Google’s claims and just don’t disavow links anymore even spam links.

I think that - for once - google are not lying when they say that most garbage links don't do anything, so from this standpoint disavowing is pretty useless IMO.

Not to mention that sometimes it can take up to 6 months for the effects to be seen, so yeah, I personally don't see the point in this...

If you had a shit ton of them id remove them.

Although you can assume it does nothing for ranking keeping or removing the links there. If nothing else it will help with the reputation management of the domain and the link "type" profile associated with that domain.

Rather than having a "neutral" or "organic" or whatever the terms are these days for a backlink profile it would no doubt be classed as "spam" if you have a higher than average low quality link count.

Backlink bombs or backlink blast is still a service offered online id just keep that in mind when considering to ignore or act upon removing links. End of the day although people sell shit, there are still tons of these services out there and I guarantee they will have some kind of negative impact if used against you or by you..

Yes, most of these links gets ignored y Google, just a waste of time and money. Links from mixed site with no relevance is just costly in money.
