I mean actual web 4.0.

I remember when web 3.0 was being discussed years ago and it's been here for a while.

From my talks with other people in this industry web 4.0 is going to have something to do with AI.

Give that AI has been around for a number of years I was thinking is web 4.0 already here and we just haven't realized it yet or is it still coming?

Nah it's too early for web 4.0.

It doesn't help that there's not been anything really new in terms of social networks or sites. Just the same old same old or newer versions of old stuff if you know what I'm saying.

This seems like it’s the case all around the web. Mostly alt sites of existing sites like bluesky is to X.
