How do we take advantage of this ?
I think one of Grok 3’s biggest current advantages is the ability to seamlessly incorporate web search results (articles and posts) into its response and analysis. If ChatGPT-4o needs to incorporate web searches, it automatically switches to a very muted mode (a customized version of 4o) and becomes basically incapable of actual reasoning and analysis or creative writing, so one needs to turn off search to get analysis and creativity out of ChatGPT. But Grok does this significantly better, to the point where one doesn’t need to worry about whether “search” is on or not. I consider this a super important advantage.

Grok is a damn good search tool tbh

I just tried using Grok.

That's mostly right!

We started development on it on November 10, 2024 with a few other people and launched the beta version of it on March 23, 2025. I'm not sure why it thinks it was officially launched on May 14, 2025, but I guess that's when it started gaining more traction or maybe when the press releases were sent out. It also might be something in the press releases themselves.
