Notice Latest Post Feeds Will Be Merged

I'm just letting everyone know that the two feeds we have on the homepage for the Trading Post and the general forums will be merged at some point.

At these early stages of the forum, we don't actually have a need for two feeds, especially since we don't have a lot of content in the Trading Post just yet.

For those of you who have joined us more recently, the idea behind having two feeds was to prevent an issue that we all experienced on the other forum where the homepage feed would cluttered by sales threads.

Later on when we have more content in the Trading Post, we'll revisit the idea of having two homepage feeds.

Why not make it a tabbed feature.

It's on mobile and a doodle but to explain better

Latest posts go first loaded into a tab.

Have a trading post as another tab to swap the posts.

That way 1 feed. When trading posts get popular you have a dedicated feed.

It cleans it up. Can be implemented now and gets everyone uses to it day one rather than editing later.

Also coding now when there's just a few posts makea it easier to revise and deal with issues.

Plus being a tab still good for seo as it will get crawled as a page 1 link / resource.
