Since these discussions on BHW have been so damn dominating on the OO, I've created this megathread for it and moved all the old discussions and posts on it to this thread.

Keep the following rule in mind when posting.

2.13 Discussion of Other Communities

Members are allowed to discuss or criticise other communities here on Office Outlaw. However, repetitive complaint content, personal vendettas, personal attacks against staff of other communities, and drama-posting are not allowed and will be removed from the platform. When appropriate, members should use existing mega threads to discuss specific communities. Content outside of these mega threads will be merged into existing mega threads.

First the other forum copied that OP badge then they copy this. Years of us asking for this shit and only after they found out about this forum do they start adding anything in and it all happens to be the stuff that was already on here.

Why do they keep getting confused on how to write Black Hat World? BlackHat World in that section title, BlackHatWorld in the logo, Blackhatworld in guides, Black Hat World in the rules.

For a bunch of suits they're real inconsistent on their own branding.

Oh wow I didn't know they copied ideas this obviously but it doesn't surprise me haha. I used to lurk there but stopped after they did that weird theme change and the place got overrun with AI spam. I went to some IM Reddits after that and then here also but still more Reddit right now.

But it looks like they're doing more than just taking ideas from Z. They even moved personal threads he made years ago under some new official account they're trying to make look aged.

It's sloppy as shit and shows their true colors. More lies like when they demoted execs, banned those members they unbanned the other month or pretended Z just left the job. It's all just fucked up. If they do this to their top members then they'll do it to anyone.

Now that I think about it there are loads of other mods who just disappeared suddenly. Not even just the old school guys like jazzc, but how long has wizgizmo supposedly been on “hiatus” like 4 years? Some real fuckery has been going on for a long time.

Fair enough but I’m just saying it’s basically every mod that disappears. I remember some mods who were there for a short while like Motolino and then bam they just go inactive suddenly. There was one posting guides like don’t panic and that one just disappeared and then got renamed.

Maybe some just move on but after some of the shit I’ve been seeing on there I’m starting to think that’s not usually the case.

Some mods are inhouse and other are volunteers. The inhouse mods disappear as they leave the company and their account either gets repurposed or abandoned. Like @Apricot becoming BHW News.

Volunteer mods have things going in their life as well, but I guess @MisterF can say a lot more about it than I can.

I don’t have any personal problems with anyone there or the site in general, so just some constructive criticism - I just don’t think the system there works and services listed there for the most part are either very poor quality time-wasters or scammers.

Third world country scammers must have a field day on there... they know nobody is going to come chasing them across the other side of the world for scamming someone out of 500 bucks.. All they do on there is ban the offender. And that’s it. how is that protection? Then the offender can just sign-up again and rinse and repeat because there appear to be little in the way of trust and safety measures - ZERO kyc checks, even for normal, ‘whitehat’ services. Nor does there appear to be anything in the way of quality checks of ip addresses, bot prevention and so on.

Honestly they are doing very little in the way of safety. I think I had a much better time even on edollarearn than on there and that was essentially a one man band from what I can tell lol you could probably manage what they do on thiat site for free just hosting a bulletin board on discord or something. I usually just stick to linkedin these days.

Of course all this is assuming they haven’t finally implemented this escrow thing they have been talking about for years now!

I meant to respond to this earlier...jokes aside, the dark them here (is there a light one? not that I'd use it) with green and purple is epic @Zwielicht . The design and colour scheme here flow nicely, I honestly hadn't noticed how well until @ggmopa's comment made me notice more, thought then fuck yeah he's right.

You realise the Wizz was in his 70s when he was staff?

I was supposed to meet up with him when we were across in the states one time, but he had to postpone due to him also being a carer for a family member.

I meant to respond to this earlier...jokes aside, the dark them here (is there a light one? not that I'd use it) with green and purple is epic @Zwielicht . Both are fab, I'm not sure which one I like better! I love dark theme here but light is actually purple(!) so I eventually switched to that because my phone is purple, lol.
