šŸˆSports [MEGATHREAD] FIFA World Cup

Would be more goals if not for mbappe's ego.

Mbappe goes out and there is the next goal šŸ˜† 🤣

Well, Norway move up to the next level atleast, the have done well so far all together as the last time they played in the world cup was in 1998 in France.

yeah, and they'll face... Morocco, Brazil, France (in this order if things go according to plan, ie. France don't lose to Norway tomorrow)

FIFA and the USA have made all strides to screw this WC by eliminating at least 1/3 of the favorites in the first 2 knock-out rounds.

- The Dutch have a high chance of losing to Morocco
- Japan (while not favorites, but still a quality team) will most likely lose to Brazil
- France and England will most likely meet in the round of 16, so one of these huge favorites will get screwed
- Spain vs Argentina are also set to meet in the round of 16, so another favorite thrashed by the FIFA / US cartel
- Germany are anything but a quality team, so they'll likely not make it even to the quarter finals

But suuuure, we will get to "enjoy" garbage USA vs Bosnia, and then garbage USA vs Egypt, and so on... This WC is so pathetic, I'm not even angry or sad anymore that I've not watched all of the matches...

And if they're going to extend the half time to 30 minutes during the final like they said they would... well, not gonna watch the final either... although, by that point I'll probably not be interested in it anyway since none of the teams that I usually root for in WCs (Italy, Germany, Netherlands, etc) will make it all the way to the final...

I'm telling you, unless the USA are made champions in the FIFA headquarters this WC belongs to France or England (whichever one comes out victorious from their direct clash, as - in the other branch - there will be no one left with a roster deep enough to be able to play and win 8 matches)

So, go out and bet on either France or England now when the odds are still decent...
and the confirmed manipulated games for money where strong teams lose/remis on purpose against weak teams.
Already confirmed by some players as the tournamental consequences for the team are minimal when doing it once.

2030 they want to increase again from 48 to 62 if their proposal passes

I've heard that too, but at that point I won't care anymore... I might not even be alive then if things keep going from bad to worse (in real life I mean, not in football).

For me, this WC was ruined by many things like:

- putting 10 seconds countdown before kick-off
- adding the dreaded and infamous 3-minute commercial breaks during each half
- using female referees in a men's game (I already skipped Czechia - South Africa and Germany - Ecuador because of this shit)
- biased refereeing in general (Canada - Switzerland was a blatant example of this, in which the Swiss players couldn't even touch the jerseys of the Canadian players with their auras that it was called foul + yellow card, but the Canadian players had no problems butchering the Swiss players without getting as much as an admonishing look from the ref... so vomit-inducing!)

Anyway, I already skipped 10 or so games at this WC so far and I'll probably continue skipping more in the knockouts, but I still wanted to watch some games because I've said to myself before the tournament started that this would be the last WC that I ever watch. I saw the writing on the wall with what they're trying to do to this sporting event, so I wanted to have one last look at it before they completely destroy it like the demonic degenerates that they are...

dembele is pretty egotistical and megalomaniac too :)

FCK - Now it's clear, 99.9 percent. Sweden will face France in the round of 16 in New York.
you're cooked :D

But to be fair, you shouldn't even be at this WC (and no, I have nothing against you despite of Sweden having eliminated Romania in the quarter finals at the 1994 WC, I don't hold any grudge against you). But you've been utter trash in the qualifiers, if it wasn't for that Nations League run...

On the plus side, I never liked the French and - furthermore - I do like Elanga. So Imma root for y'all against France, so don't let me down :)

But doesn't that give small teams a chance like who knew Capo verde before and the other team

What say?

There are big surprises at every WC, so this wasn't something that was isolated to this WC, or that it's happened because of these idiotic rules.

And speaking of big surprises, Uruguay got grouped again LMAO... This team, man! I never had anything against them, and I really try to like them, but they're so awful. After they've lost Suarez they're so mid...

Yeah Uruguay out was a surprise now they got a new squad so not sure how that is but but with a coach like Bielsa they should have finished atleast 2nd

But atleast people will recognise Capo verde and the goalkeeper, the smaller teams and I am sure the goalkeeper's life will be set after the heroics as this will probably be his last world cup

It's amazing and it makes you think and wonder there are these small nations around and the endless possibilities
