Bro I'm gooning them sleeping rn.

Jk but actually sleeping.

Gn, dream of me xoxox (anti-homo barrier is up so it's ok).

Colombia is so much better.

Probably a goal now.

Edit: no goal

Offside by a TOE length.

Costa Man of the match probably ?

Drake bet huge for Canada to win,
So South Africa will most likely win

(Do what you want with this information, not financial advice!!)

Yeah Uruguay out was a surprise now they got a new squad so not sure how that is but but with a coach like Bielsa they should have finished atleast 2nd

But atleast people will recognise Capo verde and the goalkeeper, the smaller teams and I am sure the goalkeeper's life will be set after the heroics as this will probably be his last world cup

It's amazing and it makes you think and wonder there are these small nations around and the endless possibilities
I also used to believe that Bielsa is great (I mean, when Pep and Poch refer to you as their mentor you must be good, right?), but I'm not sure anymore as I've not seen any tactical masterclass from Bielsa lately (in the last 10 years let's say...)

I'm starting to believe what the naysayers are saying, that all Bielsa has got is make his players be 100% fit for 90 minutes, and that's pretty much it. Besides making his players run like robots for 90 minutes he's never won a trophy in his entire life (I didn't check this, but that's what I've heard), so - no matter how great of a coach / manager you are - if you have no trophy to show for it... well, I guess you're not a great manager then :)

Some coaches simply fail to adapt to new times and tactics, and today's name of the game is possession and efficiency, 2 things that I've not seen any of Bielsa's teams of the last decade have, so I guess that the rumors are true that he's washed...

And yeah, the Cape Verde goalie (Vozinha I believe is his name) is a legend, and not only in his country. I watched the entire game against Spain and was really impressed by the saves he's made. It's true that Spain have also missed a few clear chances, but hey, you can only play what's in front of you, so... props to Vozinha :)

Not to mention that Neuer (or Muslera since we're on the topic of Uruguay) would've let a few of those saves in... actually, Muslera just let one in, few days ago against Spain, so yeah... Vozinha ftw :D

Canada - South Africa has started.

Referee is always in an awkward spot when they're at CA goal.

Better for Netherlands to meet Canada in round of 16 than South Africa.

South Africa players are fast AF, they can probably beat the Portugal of yesterday.

Curse of Drake goung strong ?

Let's go Canada scored.

with this I agree. But first, the Dutch need to dispose of the fraudsters Moroccoans...

Moroccan team is always complaining?

Moroccan team is always complaining?
no idea, I just don't like them as footballers.

I mean, ok, let's be honest: hakimi and diaz are world class, there's no debating here. But the rest of the Moroccoan players are so overhyped, they're basically being carried by the other 2 and people go crazy about this team and I don't get why.

Like, for example, in their opening game against Brazil the Brazilians were all over them for 90 minutes to the point where Morocco have started time wasting and embelishing non-existent fouls after minute 70 because they couldn't handle the constant Brazilian pressure anymore.

And yet, after the game, I watched reviews of this game by some content creators that I follow in this space and - I kid you not - absolutely all of those creators were like "maan, the Brazilians were so lucky that they didn't lose!"... or "ngl Morocco should have lowkey gotten this in the bag"... or "oh, Morocco semi-finalists confirmed, this Brazil team is ass..."

Stuff like that... And while I do agree that Brazil are not what we got used to seeing from them 20+ years ago, this Brazil team is still good enough to dispose of the fraudsters Morocco, they were just a bit unlucky in that game.

And all of these creators saying how Morocco were levels above Brazil (and by the way, I'm not even a Brazil fan, until a decade ago I even hated them and rooted against them like a psychopathic idiot lol) and that they should have won make me really question whether or not I'm living in the same reality as these lunatics, or whether I'm really retarded or something and can't see the actual truth. For a good few minutes I stood there listening to their takes, replaying scenes from this game in my mind all over again, and trying to find some logic in what they were saying. But I just couldn't, so I concluded that - while I might still be wrong - I will be waiting for 3-4 more games from both Morocco and Brazil before I draw the final conclusion.

But anyway, I personally don't like Morocco, I only like Brahim Diaz and - like I said - I also think that Achraf Hakimi is arguably the best RB in the world, but that's about it. Everyone else is mid at best IMO... but then again, I've been following this sport closely since 1990, so I got used to real, actual legends of the pitch, so these modern players - with a few exceptions - don't impress me squat. So, maybe I'm outdated or too biased, that's also a possibility... which is why I chose not to draw a final conclusion on the Morocco vs Brazil debate just yet. But like I said, personally I'm not a fan of Morocco, so Imma root against them in the Netherlands game :D

Japan going to beat Brasil?

Last minute goal
