Whole ref team is Argentinian 😆
the refs don't matter anymore. Some 10-15 years ago I've had huge respect for the Hungarian Victor Kasai and for the Slovenian Slavko Vinčić when I was watching UCL games. And both of them have been bribed in some of the games, I only remember a Bayern - Real Madrid quarter, or semifinal around 2015 when Bayern needed a win at Bernabeu and the Hungarian referee had red carded Alaba (Alaba was playing for Bayern back then) early in the game... and I believe he's also red-carded Lewandowski too later on, but on Lewa I'm not sure, he might have just gotten a yellow but if he did, it was a very suspicious yellow, probably that's why I remember it..

And not only these, but that entire 2nd leg (in the 1st leg Real Madrid have won at Allianz Arena 3-1 if memory serves me well, which is why Bayern have needed to win on multiple goals difference too, not just any win)...

But like I was saying, right from the first minutes of that game it was blatantly obvious that Perez (RM boss) had bought Kasai, and eventually RM has won and progressed further to no one's surprise.

And the same had happened with Vincic in another UCL game, I just don't remember in which one, but probably one in which PSG, RM, or Man City were involved as these are the most scumbag and filthy rich clubs in European football, so yeah... I've lost all respect for all referees that are UEFA / FIFA accredited...

Which brings me to the point I wanted to make, which is... it doesn't matter that tonight's ref is Argentinian. What matters is what instructions he gets from Infantino before kick-off. That's it!

EDIT: also, there have been many good refs over the decades. Like, a TON of them, and - if I go through a list of UEFA / FIFA refs in the last 30 years - I can find at least 20-30 that have been world class refs, nearly perfect in terms of ability to referee.

But of all of these "legends" only 1 is the true GOAT that could never be bribed, and that's the legendary Pierluigi Collina. If any of you had lived long enough to watch Collina (in early 2000s, but probably late 90s too, but I don't remember) referee you know what I'm talking about. I think I've even heard him in an interview (or maybe an article in a sports magazine) alluding to the fact that a club owner had invited him to dinner to discuss some "private matters". And that was the night before a game that was crucial for the said club owner and at which Collina had been delegated to referee...

So yeah... there's only 1 and only true refereeing legend... at least in the last 30 years that I've started appreciating referees, I don't know what's happened before the 90s...

Moroccan player 14 is talking to Dembele with his mouth covered. Not getting a Red due to game being stopped for penalty?

I've no idea, some of these rules I don't even want to know about because they're so stupid...
