Maybe we don’t know people who work at Meta but the thing is I know some people who provide services that rely on Meta employees to work. This is going to F the digital marketing landscape since all these companies are laying people off in bulk.
Idk software houses in my city were kinda doing that, and everyone was on b2b contract but they weren't allowed to freelance or get a 2nd 'employer'. These nerds almost crying in the corner because they have to look for a new job every couple of months. And over and over. Looks more unstable than what I'm doing (not that this is stable, it's not). Honestly working for these companies doesn't look like a good thing. You basically loose the ability to take on multiple clients, but they still require you to be a registered business / sole proprietor and you can't work from home, they tell you to come to the office daily.I don't know.
I always think these kind of companies acquire businesses all the time. For X time frame in that deal they need to retain Y work force.
After that time frame is up they let them go, or they evolve to no longer need that fraction of people.
To me this is nothing new. It's news because it's 8k people.
Tbh looking for b2b clients / small businesses is a nightmare for me right now. Definitely affected.More people flooding the job market.
I’m SO glad I’m not looking for a job right now. The people I know who are looking for one say it’s been a nightmare.
no.Are you saying more competition for people who are into IM?
Because now there are 8k people out of jobs so they are going to look for options other than corporate life?
Probably temporarily? Which could be problematic. But after a while most will get discouraged and will try to get a job again. Are you saying more competition for people who are into IM?

So sweet of you or else I will have to get a job because of themno.
ill tell them to get a job
