Resolved Mission statement

On the mission statement page you have the following at the bottom by design or an oversight?



Also refresh does increase pageviews

It was added by default, but we don't have an issue with it. The page view counter is also default, but could probably be improved.

I'll keep this unresolved for now so we remember to look at it again later.

I personally also believe Mission Statement is kinda out of place, tucked away under Forums.
Should be on a Higher level on it's own. If not, grouped under with the ToS/About/Contact Us

That's a weird one. I saw it happen to myself on the mobile version of the site when I visited the Mission Statement page.

I'll make sure someone looks into this later. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Clicking on the mission statement doesn't log me out, but we are getting issues with members getting logged out randomly: https://officeoutlaw.com/threads/got-randomly-logged-out.36/

We're still looking into that one.

This is because Misison Statement is being forwarded to a WWW while the actual website is a naked URL



In fact, it is POSSIBLE to be logged into WWW and non-WWW version of the website at the same time and use it.
Not everything re-directs you into non-WWW
For example
In the WWW version

On the home page, the home button will take you back to non-www.
WHILE
still on the home page, forums button will continue browsing via WWW


That could possibly be the reason why people are getting logged out randomly.
They may be experiencing switching back and forth between WWW and non-WWW

I was worried it was a server caching issue. This makes a lot of sense.

I checked the public navigation and it just had the wrong URL out of the box for some reason.


@Impulse is working on moving the mission statement page to the footer, so we'll make sure the correct URL is added there.

In the meantime, I did fix the URL since I was already there.

I added a new help page for our Mission Statement and created a link at the bottom of the forum.

The new mission statement also no longer has social shares or a page counter, which we think is an improvement. It should also no longer log people out as it stays on non-WWW URL.
