We've spent some time cleaning up the nav bar today. Admittedly, we left it fairly vanilla, but wanted to take the time to make some changes to it.
  • "What's New" on the nav bar has been moved under Forums. The What's New page is essentially just the homepage, after all. It's still easily accessible, it's just not a parent page.
  • Karma can now be found next to your profile image, messages, and alerts bar. On desktop, it shows how much karma you have next to a yin-yang symbol. On mobile, it's just a yin-yang symbol you can click. We plan on making karma more useful, so this is a step toward that.
  • "Members" has been added under "Forums" on the navbar. This is already linked to in the "Outlaws Recently Online" widget.
  • "Search forums" and "Search Profile posts" has been removed from the navbar. There's already a search button to the right, we don't need it twice.
  • We moved the Donation page to the main navigation bar and removed it from the footer. We're trying to run this forum off of donations and want to make that clearer. We've also removed the Advertising page as we don't actually offer any advertising options right now. In the future, we may allow highlights or stickies in the Trading Post at the most, but that's something for later.
  • The newsletter footer link now goes to the newsletter thread instead of a blank page. https://officeoutlaw.com/threads/newsletter-master-list-updates.484/

So since locking content behind a karma-wall was disabled, I think we can safely remove this from the navbar:

It also means that removing this feature didn't clear that table from the DB.

That feature was disabled but still exists on the forum in case we ever repurpose it.

But yeah, that navigation menu item needs to be removed. I did that just now.
