As voted on by the community, there's now a new "similar threads" feature.
These similar threads are viewable at the bottom of every thread and also come up whenever someone creates a new thread.
The goal of this feature is to show users interested in specific threads similar threads to the one they're reading and to reduce the number of duplicate threads we receive. For reference, moderators do sometimes get requests to merge duplicate topics into a "megathread", so this should hopefully take some of the work off the moderation team.
Anyway, here are some details about how the new feature works:

Anyway, here are some details about how the new feature works:
- It works based off of keywords longer than a specific length.
- Some keywords are excluded, like "but" and "and".
- It only displays similar threads from the section you're viewing.
- A list of up to 4 potentially similar threads is displayed at the bottom of each thread (assuming there are similar threads)
- It only displays similar threads you can view. In other words, it won't leak threads from private sections.
- Threads older than 180 days are excluded from any similar threads lists. This is just so users aren't shown old threads, especially as the forum ages.
- If you're writing up a thread title and you find the similar threads box annoying, you can just close it to concentrate on writing your thread. It will come back up if you adjust the title.
- Unregistered users also see similar threads when viewing threads.
