Every Sunday, we plan on sending out our newsletter via e-mail for those of you who signed up and by posting it here in this thread.

Our newsletter covers the top 10 threads of the week, top 5 replies each week, official tips, and a summary of updates made to the forum.

Threads featured in the newsletter are also highlighted and go on our Featured Content page.

Newsletter Update​

I know I haven't posted the newsletter here in a couple of weeks.

We want to start focusing on growing the userbase of OO, and at the stage we're at, we don't have enough subscribers to the e-mail newsletter or readers for this one in order for me to spend as much time on this.

I'm switching this newsletter to go monthly rather than weekly. If you'd like for me to switch back to sending out weekly, then be sure to subscribe to the e-mail newsletter here. Once we have more readers, I can switch it to bi-monthly and then weekly again as it grows.

I'll send the next newsletter out June 22, 2025.

June 22, 2025 Update​

I'm pushing it back an extra week as there are a few things I need to work on both in and out of OO. Something else I want to do as well is improve this newsletter format. The current format is based on an old one I created years ago that I've meant to improve upon, but never got the time to get around to.

Something I want to try is making the newsletter threads more of a discussion point. For those of you who don't know, the majority of the weight in terms of SEO for forums is in the opening post. The newsletters are original content and a good opportunity for interlinking, so I want to try creating individual threads for each monthly newsletter (and hopefully transition back to weekly at some point), link to them here in this thread, and also use this thread for updates to the newsletter as I have been.

With that said, I'll get the next one out on June 29th.

Newsletter Update​

So, we now post the newsletters in their own threads. I'll be using this thread to link to them and converting the posts above into their own threads.

I'm thinking of doing seasonal newsletters as monthly would just be too much for me to work on given all of the other tasks I need to do here.

I'm planning on writing the next newsletters in the following months:

• March
• June
• September
• December

In case you're wondering why those months, those are the months when the seasons change, so it's easier for me to remember.
