I just wanted to put this out there, but we will not be adding any banner ads to this website.

I think they're ghetto and I even want to take them off my company site's blog at some point (I have one there at the footer of each article and I hate it).

But this is a community forum and not a company site, so I will not add ads to the forum.

We're still working out funding this community through upgrades and stuff like that, but I'd rather it be run off of donations.

That is all.

I suppose I wouldn't have an issue with setting up a pinned posts process for traders in The Trading Post, but I'll think that one over when the time comes.

It's banner ads and text ads all over the site that I want to stay away from.

On a related note, if members want to post ads in their own signatures, they can. I set something up for signature image sizes to automatically get reduced to a specific size. I still need to tweak it, but I'll post the final max size once it's completely done.
