Hey all,
I made a small adjustment to the email notifications for the forum. Previously, the default option for notifications was that if you started or replied to a thread, you'd get email notifications of every single interaction on your post or thread. This was getting a little insane with the amount of emails being sent out and the domain's sender score was being impacted a little.
But now, when you post a new thread or reply, you'll notice that the checkbox next to "and receive email notifications) is unchecked by default.
You can still check it if you want to get email notifications, but you'll have to opt in. This way, people don't get spammed by lots of notification emails without making a conscious decision to receive them.
Otherwise, if you're the type of person who wants ALL the email notifications and doesn't want to think about it, you can set your default preferences by going to your profile > preferences and ticking these boxes:
You'll still get emails when you receive a DM and it doesn't change any default notifications you've already set. So if your notifications are set to "no" by default, they'll stay that way.
Any questions, let me know!
