Patron is back as Hot Rod

The upgrade page still displays Patron offer tho... can we take that as an extra badge now or was there a mistake somewhere?

Yeah, we're working on that right now.

I was a little tired when I was working on Patron yesterday and forgot that the Hot Rod badge was meant to just be a fun badge that users such as you and @UnusualSubstance could have indefinitely. Patron gives you a badge for a year, but we're making a separate pink badge for it (maybe we can even do another gradient, we're trying things out).

Sorry for the confusion about that.

Patrons now have their own pink badge while they are in that usergroup.

PayPal won't let me to pay unfortunately, @Zwielicht

It is a subscription payment and they require an active CC under my account.

Yesterday I was able to pay using my account when it was set up on the donation page... can you set it up in a different way? Maybe not require it as a subscription but users need to renew it themselves once a year.

Sorry about that. We enabled recurring payments for the upgrade purchases, but didn't know that it would lock members out of one-time purchases.

We've disabled recurring payments so it doesn't need an active subscription, but unfortunately members will have to manually renew membership.
