I sometimes have issues with my coworkers. They can pretty ok some days but then other days when things are slow you can just feel the tension in the office.

This week one of my coworkers just started trying to spread an office rumor that a newer employee lied on her application and only got the job because she was pregnant and only wanted maternity leave.

This is crazy to me because why would someone get a job just to get maternity leave. UNPAID maternity leave!

I hate it when these office rumors start because you never know when they'll be about you.

Oh in Poland they do this a lot. But maternity benefits are paid. Couple employees like this can bankrupt a small business . Which is probably why a lot of businesses don't give employment contracts anymore.
