We allow members of Office Outlaw to have multiple accounts on our platform.

For the record, we don't consider accounts from friends and family as multiple accounts. Only accounts created by you. However, be aware that we won't always be able to tell, especially in the case of family sharing your IP.

Reasons For Having Multiple Accounts
It's understandable to have different accounts for different purposes.
  • You might have a personal account.
  • You might have a business account.
  • You might want to sell different services through different accounts.
  • Maybe you have an account you post on just to chat casually.
  • Maybe you want an account for fun where you roleplay as a dog or a fish.
You don't really need a good reason so long as it's not malicious (which we'll go over shortly).

We only ask that you be reasonable about how many accounts you create. Generally, after we link more than a handful of accounts to you, we may start rejecting your accounts as we don't encourage account farming on this platform.

Malicious Intent
The following are examples of malicious intent:

Quick question Z, if one of the accounts gets banned, will the others be banned too?

Well.. I just learned 3 new words today :-)

Z, what about different sellers selling the same service, from the same IP address, for example?

You know where I'm coming from with this.
Having multiple accounts just to overflood the trading post section with threads (that sell the same thing in hopes of gaining more sales) is not allowed. Such trading posts will not be accepted.

Exactly.

Our rules for the trading post are that you can't have duplicate listings, and that includes listings across multiple accounts. Members can have more than one account, but they can't use that to sell the same service and pretend that they are different people.

We wrote about this in the Trading Post rules here:
You may not create duplicate listings for the same product or service that you offer.
- This includes duplicate listings across any alt accounts you have here.

surely there will be a bump limit ?
Yeah, we're still working all of that. You can actively see me developing the Trading Post rules thread as we continue beta testing.

There's still a lot left to do with it, but if there's anything you think should be in there, you can post a thread in the Forum Suggestions section as I want to make sure we tighten up the rules across the forum in anticipation of more people joining. I think we all have a pretty good idea of the things we don't want to see in The Trading Post, if you know what I mean. :ROFLMAO:

By the way, I saw your avatar change when I refreshed the page. Personally, I liked the Fry one. ;)
