I know they have always charged high, but this is honestly getting ridiculous.

Are these the highest fees of any financial service??

Payoneer charge a bit over 4% but they also play with exchange rate so I'd be surprised if I'm not paying more than 5.4%..

5.4% ... do you use the account often?

Is your account set to the lower sales volume one? Where you just pay 5p per transaction, providing it's not over £20 unless then you pay the higher rate.

Is it a business account or personal? Personally id say 5.4 is about right our PayPal is around the 1.9-2.3 mark I think without checking

It is a business account. I suppose my sales volume is decent, but not outstanding.

Welcome to the real world, PayPal in business is trash when it comes to fee`s.

Check my money or something in the business section there is a tariff screen, it could even be under something like My Plan or something like that* you can see if they offer any rates OR reach out them and see what they can do for you.

*It's been sooo long I can't remember exactly where it is or if they still do it, but im sure you can see what you get charged for what, if you need to adjust your sales to cover international payments i.e allow a % for that or claim that % back tax wise, am sure you can swap between plans or charges based on your account activity

Use Wise, Wire, ACH, EBAN or Stripe for larger payments. PP is good for entry level sales or new clients.

Exchange rate is bad with both PP, and Payoneer
I really liked using Wise for international clients. I never paid any fees for payments I received and payments were automatically sent to my bank account.

Its still free and their exchange rates are excellent. Transfers are instant and they dont have 1-2 day hold periods like PP/Payoneer

I honestly didn’t realize how bad it was until recently. I usually don’t pay much attention to the charges but then I saw how much they took from a payment I received a few months ago... That was when I went on a full rant with my friend about it

He told me it’s always been like that and even showed me his own transactions too... I just never noticed it was that high
