I choose Diesel with Gas ⛽ endorsement in Addition..

I don't choose Electric Car..

I'm still on Petrol
Probably will for awhile

when riding in electric cars (when i'm not driving), it gives me headaches :(

Enjoy exploding in an electric car!

The very fact the UK gov is pushing for everyone to have electric cars means we should't have them....

Petrol & Diesel for me. I'm also sticking far away from anything that requires that ad blue

I have both. I like my gas car because it’s a classic and nothing really beats its style.

On the other hand, I have my wife and pets and needed something practical as a daily driver, and the EV is great for that.

Petrol for now, I'm very curious about electric cars, though.
I don't drive enough to justify switching just for saving on gas.
Since August 23 we drove about 13K km(or 8K miles).

At some point we should look at a cheap electric car in the future for Soph, we have solar here and our average monthly bill is 12 Euros, as we generate a lot more electricity than we use.

But I like my car and it's petrol and roars.

First time I think I ever saw all that in the same sentence
It's actually been really nice having an EV here in Southern California. Buying the car meant I got this deal to use a prominent charging network at no extra for 2 years. There's also a fast charging station fairly close to me, and I've taken in a few road trips that were a lot more stressful to do with a gas car. Other than that, it gets great mileage and it's been pretty nice to drive as well.

My only complaint is that during holiday seasons, the charging stations are jam packed. The worst one was Thanksgiving 2024, where we had to wait FOUR hours to get a spot at the charging station. That's the kind of thing that puts someone off of having an EV, but it was our fault because there was a station we could've stopped 30 miles back that wasn't as packed. It's like everyone decided to stop at that specific one that day.

You get that with fuel stations though maybe not that long of a wait but certain places everyone pulls off to fill up. Still 4hrs id flip lol

I got nothing against EVs I just think they all look the same. Same with modern cars in general, car designers just given up for profits thats why I like older cars at least it looks a little unique..

The fuel station nearest to my home can be really bad in the early mornings. Long lines with trucks all waiting to fill up with the occasional people who park at the pump without using it and go on their phone.

Yeah, I feel like that about cars in general now. It's why I miss driving my 560SEL.

I think part of it is that there are a lot of restrictions on car designs these days for safety and efficiency, meaning they all end up looking the same,

We like the way our EV looks because it has a sort of Porsche look to it, at least.

I kind of see it.

Why are all the alloys some bit mass like that tho? They always seem to just be blocky and awful, I'm gessing its something to do with it being an EV? Like gaps in alloys make the batery blow up

This thing is only 56 years old and I mean look at the lines vs that box above

I have no idea. They kind of remind me of mooney hub caps.

Our car actually looks exactly like this one, and I prefer the alloys we have to the alternative ones that car comes with.

Those classic cars always have the nicest styles. I feel the modern ones just don't compare.

Those wheels are much better.

The whole design thing I left off my last post. So just came off as a grumpy old man.

My failed point was: In just 56 years, we all but given up on looks. Car designers used to take inspiration from the space race and everything else, it's really sad they have all seem to have given up - well I figure it's all down to the bottom line now. More generic and square things are less tooling required more they can just run off a production line.

Either that or every car designer is using a blasted mobile phone as inspiration. Nothing is unique anymore even the EU is forcing Alfa Romeo to ditch the classic off centre number plate and place it in the centre of the car so everything is the same with crash ratings or some nonsese not that Id have thought an offset plate would effect my chances of living.

It became less about art and style and just efficiency. It's possible to have both, but I'd imagine a lot of them are told to just make what everyone is familiar with for the sake of sales.

I know what you mean though, everything is just starting to look the same. It's an issue with the houses near me as well as every new build has that "modern home" look.

Looks ok until you discover that every development, every home is practically the same. Squeezed in on a small plot, nowhere to park, small gardens all to get max profits and the quality of the build is shit at best.

I'm lucky I dont live in one of them. No offence to anyone who has a new UK home I get why they made and who they appeal to, it's just not for me.

I don't believe in electric vehicles; they are only suitable for short trips (100–250 km) since charging stations are rare in our country. Petrol and gas vehicles are reliable and convenient for long journeys because they are available in all places.

Diesel vehicles are good for long-distance travel, but in some states, our government has banned them due to air pollution concerns.

My Choice: Petrol + Gas Endorsement ;)
