Soon the system will be able to switch between light and dark mode automatically.

Other operating systems like Android, iOS, and Mac OS have long had features to automatically switch between light and dark modes based on a schedule or the sunrise and sunset. However, this is missing in Windows, where users are allowed to switch manually via Settings (there isn't even a built-in keyboard shortcut).

Microsoft will soon fix this. Not via a Windows update, but via a new feature in the Powertoys utility. Niels Laute explains this in a blog post about the new features in Powertoys 0.94, where he also goes over a few upcoming new features in version 0.95, which will be released in October. In addition to automatic dark/light mode, there will also be a redesigned interface for changing keyboard settings.

However, version 0.94 already includes a nice new feature, a new feature that warns the user if multiple functions are set to use the same keyboard shortcut. The warning is displayed directly in the Powertoys program and by clicking on it a list of the conflicts is displayed where the user can click to easily change the keyboard shortcut for any of the functions.
