A nice little prompt to get some creative juices started.

Looking to find new products? Expand your current line or offer something different but can't be arsed with doing the same old shit "use Alibaba" I got you...

Basic:

Code:
As a brainstorming expert in product development, your task is to generate 10 innovative product ideas related to [topic].

The ideas should be unique, feasible for production, and have a clear potential market.

The ideas should consider the latest trends, technology, and consumer needs in the [topic] industry.

Semi Detailed:

Code:
As a brainstorming expert in product development, your task is to generate 10 innovative product ideas related to [topic].

The ideas should be unique, feasible for production, and have a clear potential market.

The ideas should consider the latest trends, technology, and consumer needs in the [topic] industry.

Focus on pain points mentioned online as well as things can be created using [insert what you have access to] and so on.

So we can create or edit a product to meet the customers requests and needs.

In the [insert what you have access to] you can expand on this and add something like digital apps, ai agents, 3d printers, cnc machine, engraving machines etc.

Nothing fancy. I left it basic so you can work on it, I'm not here to be your own product research prompt engineer ;)

Sample run:

As a brainstorming expert in product development, your task is to generate 10 innovative product ideas related to dog care. The ideas should be unique, feasible for production, and have a clear potential market. The ideas should consider the latest trends, technology, and consumer needs in the dog walking industry.

Focus on pain points mentioned online as well as things that can be created using 3d printers, AI assistance or apps. Even print on demand.

We are looking to create new products we can bring to market or edit current ones out there to generate sales for our company.

5 suggestions:

1) Smart Modular Leash System

Pain point: Dog walkers juggle multiple dogs, poop bags, water bottles, and keys—leashes tangle.
Concept: A 3D-printable modular leash with magnetic quick-connect couplers, swivel joints, and a snap-on accessory rail for bag holders, lights, or treat pods.
Production: 3D-print in nylon or carbon fiber filament; injection mold for mass production.
Market: Professional dog walkers, multi-dog households.

2) AI Walk Coach App + Wearable Clip

Pain point: Owners worry their dog isn’t getting enough exercise or enrichment.
Concept: A clip-on accelerometer (small, 3D-printed case) syncs with an AI app that grades walk “quality” (duration, pace, sniffing breaks) and gives improvement tips.
Production: Off-the-shelf sensor, 3D-printed enclosure, AI-driven mobile app.
Market: Tech-savvy pet parents, urban professionals.

3) PawPrint ID Tags (Print-on-Demand)

Pain point: Tags are boring, noisy, and easily lost.
Concept: Custom, silent, laser-engraved or 3D-printed tags in flexible TPU with QR code linking to a pet profile (address, vet, walk schedule).
Production: Print-on-demand fulfillment + laser engraving.
Market: Every dog owner, especially style-conscious millennials.

4) HydraLead – Built-in Water Dispenser

Pain point: Dogs overheat quickly on walks; owners forget bowls.
Concept: A lightweight, telescoping water flask built into the leash handle with a pop-out silicone drinking dish.
Production: CNC aluminum or molded ABS + silicone; 3D-printable prototype.
Market: Active dog owners, hot-climate regions.

5) Reflective Harness with LED Panels

Pain point: Safety at night—reflective strips are limited.
Concept: A harness with thin, rechargeable LED matrix panels that auto-activate in low light. Custom messages (“Nervous,” “Friendly,” “In Training”) can display via app.
Production: 3D-printed strap connectors + textile harness; LED flexible panels.
Market: Night walkers, training communities, city dog owners.

This is a basic version of a prompt we run to find ideas for in house production using 3d printers. You can tailor and expand on it to include a wide range of things based on your skill level and what you have access to and what you don't.

I always include something I don't have like a moulding machine or a big cnc or something like that as you never know what little trend in the market it comes up with.

Have fun :)
