Platinum and Founding members should set the standard here by being themselves, whether that be positive, friendly, jocular, ornery, or whatever else someone is like. After all, diversity is important in a community.
It's when someone crosses a line into being abusive that action should be taken. The notice (warning) system is in place for this reason, but I understand that terms should be established for when someone loses their status.
I feel like
@t0mmy is spot-on: we don't want to throw someone out just because they receive a notice. Obviously, someone who does something serious enough (i.e., spreading malware) to get instantly banned would lose their status and their account. Although, I can spend some time creating additional terms for when someone would lose their status. At the moment, the only terms we have is that anyone who leaks content from any of the hidden sections after July 3, 2025 will be immediately demoted.
In regards to demoting someone because they might retaliate by leaking content, if you want to be technical, anyone could potentially leak content at any time from those sections. After all, you never know if someone just decides they don't like you and that they're going to leak what you said just to cause you issues. It's always a risk regardless of whether or not they perfectly abide by all the rules.
Anyway, going back to the resolving this,
@Word Wizard is right that if we had a tiered notice system here, that would work quite well. I wrote one up for the other forum, but I'd prefer to come up with something better for Office Outlaw. Give me some time to write this up and I'll respond to this thread with what we've decided to implement. No need for 7 upvotes on this since it's something we definitely need to add in.
