What's the lowest you have seen this or gotten this in the Google search console.

How many pages or what do people aim for / consider a good average target site wide?

20+
i want my participation award @Google
why is @Bob below a snitch?
Had to throw Bob in someplace.

He's no longer god so figured any higher than bottom he would become allmighty again and start smiting people

Few 20+ I should have opened it up further passed that point.

I've just hit the 14.2 zone have been 15.1 for a while

The lowest I’ve seen in Google Search Console really depends on the site and the metric you're referring to (like average position, CTR, or indexed pages), but for something like average position, I’ve seen it get as low as 1.0 for branded or highly targeted keywords.

As for a site-wide average, it varies a lot depending on the niche and the size of the site. Generally, people aim for an average position under 20, ideally under 10, to start seeing meaningful organic traffic. For CTR, a 2-5% average site-wide is fairly common, though some pages can obviously perform much better.

In terms of indexed pages or overall site performance, having a high percentage of your pages indexed and actually receiving impressions is a good sign. If only a small fraction of your content is getting visibility, it might be worth auditing for quality or relevance.

where did you copy that reply from?

I’ve seen an average position around 4.2 for one of my sites, but that was after a lot of tweaking and solid backlinks. Honestly, anything under 10 is pretty solid. Most people aim for 5–10 range across the site, especially if it's in a competitive niche.

How many pages tho?

That was across around 120 pages. But to be fair, only about 30 to 40 of them were actually pulling solid traffic & the rest were supporting content or targeting long-tails.

So all 120 pages were ranking top 1-4 positions? in the SERPs?

No, only about 30–40 pages were ranking in the top 1–4 positions. The rest were lower or just supporting content.
Ok so how was the average 4.2 ?

I had a client site (local) on a average of 6.2 but it contained only 2 pages, front and contact page 🤡 niche road painting.

That's pretty good going for a small niche site like that. Assume it was for local / area specific results also?

Yes, local 600K city, ranked #1 on main keyword "road painting" in local language, was not a SEO client, just a website client, don`t have him anymore since I dropped him, not paid enough to keep him around after 7 years. Was a friend of a friend kind of deal.
