I was looking up ways to clean my ears and, um, yeah, ear candling is a thing.

I read about this somewhere too... Is this healthy, tho? Like getting massages? Or I'd end up with tonnes of CANDLE wax instead of ear wax in my ears??

Yeah it's done here in India also I have come across some videos from Turkey where they so some special massage and they then light fire near your ears

I am sure it must be relaxing

When I was a kid my aunt used to remove ear wax using a hair pin

I have NO idea but a part of me wants to try it.

Uh maybe in the winter because the idea of doing that in all this heat doesn’t sound pleasant.

I’ve been reading more about it and I might be interested in this. Lots of things say it’s dangerous but they say that about everything.

No I haven't tried it but I would just get the ear wax removed from an ENT specialist

Yeah, I'm seriously curious lol. I mean I just yank earsticks in there and I do surprisingly well for a person with constant catarrh eh. But idk, the weirdness of this candling thing makes me curious lol. Hopefully next post won't be 'I permanently damaged my ears in this heat' . I tried sprays but idk, not sure if necessary for me, more like extra thing. Tried salt water and oil versions, oil ones actually felt soothing after I scrubbed everything tf out with cotton stick lol.

They have medical equipment to suck earwax safely.

You use it when your drums are closed .
You create a vaccum to open them up

I've seen some videos about this a few years back, and it's crazy how much crap is in our ears.

Never done ear candling, but I'm now at an age where my barber will set fire to a stick and tap it around my ears to singe away my ear hair. The smell is strangely appetising...
